About Topex Wireless, Bytton products and its Solutions

Technological advances allowed the wide spread of high-speed wireless communications based on the cellular networks used worldwide.

Mobile operators can offer data connections using 2G, 2.5G and 3G technologies such as GPRS,EDGE,UMTS,HSDPA and HSUPA. Current mobile networks offer download speeds of 7.2mbps and upload up to 2.0mbps. With developments towards HSPA+ networks future developments will allow speed of 42mbps download and 11mbps upload.

With these capabilities current mobile networks are a real alternative to the usual DSL/Cable connections, also offering a future alternative to WiMax and LTE networks because of the less expensive software upgrade than a complete rollout of a 4G network implying both hardware and software expenses.
These developments in access speeds allowed wireless communications to be used as primary or backup access solutions, being easier to deploy in comparison with the wired technologies.

Topex addressed this opportunity by creating a cellular router which integrates different radio modules for access to GPRS,EDGE, HSDPA/HSUPA networks for WAN connectivity. It also comes equipped with another Ethernet port, allowing the possibility to be deployed in high-availability scenarios where failover between different WAN links(PPPoE, ADSL, SHDSL, VDSL, Cable, CDMA and WiMax modems) is necessary.  For failover setups in remote sites where fixed line access isn’‘t available, Topex Bytton can be deployed in dual SIM configuration. Local connectivity is supplied using the WiFi access-point, 4-port 802.1q switch, FXO/FXS, USB and RS-232 connectors.

Usual deployments serviced by Topex Bytton are Remote Access, Professional Backup, ATM Banking, Wireless Surveillance, Telemetry, SCADA and M2M, Retail, Lottery and Betting but it also can be used in other setups where customized solutions are needed.
As a 3G router, HSDPA and HSUPA technologies are used for access to the mobile network, offering speeds of 7.2mbps for download and 5.76 mbps for upload.
Topex Bytton can be used as a HSDPA router in Remote Access scenarios suppling speeds of up to 7.2mbps.
The applicability of a dual sim router is highlighted in wireless surveillance applications, where audio/video signal has to be transmitted without disruption.
Topex Bytton can be used in Professional Backup solutions offering 3G backup for other WAN connections.
3G IPSec secured connectivity is important in finnancial transactions required for Banking, Retail, Lottery and Betting.
Topex Bytton represents a mission critical router for Telemetry,SCADA and M2M deployments.

Topex Bytton is at the forefront of wireless communications incorporating cutting edge technologies and will continue to integrate and support the latest developments in wireless technologies.
